About Us

Our Investment Process

For over 20 years our Channel Islands discretionary investment team has been helping clients navigate a variety of market conditions to meet their investment goals by investing into high quality global assets that are aligned with our long-term themes.

Now, as part of Titan Wealth, the same experienced team is supported by an expanded network of investment professionals, research capabilities and specialist solutions.

Investment Solutions

Our investment solutions are straightforward: instead of trying to forecast the next big thing, we prefer to invest in long-term global trends. We don’t gamble on political events, economic outcomes or foreign exchange movements. We don’t use leverage, nor do we have geographical bias. Instead, we look for ways to gain exposure to trends that are shaping our world.

With all investment decisions made locally, our core strategies follow our global thematic investment approach by investing in carefully selected funds, ETFs and direct equities.

Each of our strategies is designed to meet different investment objectives. Whether you are looking to grow the value of your money, generate income, or a combination of the two, we have an investment solution for you.

Our solutions are

We believe investing can be for everyone, which is why we aim to provide investment solutions in a transparent and jargon-free way. We avoid complex assets and complicated investment strategies, instead investing into debt and equity of carefully selected businesses, either directly or via funds.

We invest globally to avoid performance being dependent on the success of any specific geographic region. By also investing in funds and ETFs managed by leading investment houses, individual company shares (equities) or bonds (fixed interest securities), we ensure that all strategies and portfolios are well-diversified.

Liquidity is a high priority within our investment selection process. We ensure that you have access to your funds, regardless of the prevailing market conditions, whenever you need them. Over the last decade, we have never delayed clients access to their funds.

Our themes

Whilst we remain cognisant of the macroeconomic environment to identify potential risks or opportunities, we believe we provide investors with more consistent long-term returns by aligning portfolios with evolving global trends, which provide structural tailwinds for growth.

Our long-term investment themes are underpinned by structural trends that have been established globally over decades or more. These trends, such as changing demographics, accelerating innovation, and increasing wealth are shaping our societies, cities and the very world around us.

As the world and investment markets evolve, so do our chosen themes, which are monitored on an ongoing basis for relevance.

Examples of our core themes include:

  • Global Consumption

As the global workforce expands and, through economic growth and technological advancement, becomes progressively more productive, global disposable income continues to rise. This provides growing opportunities for those firms that provide products and services that consumers need and want. This theme aims to harness this trend by investing into global consumer staples businesses that provide everyday essentials, from breakfast cereals and toothpaste to household goods. It also includes investment in consumer discretionary companies, which focus on wants over needs; including luxury goods companies, entertainment and streaming services and travel.

  • Emerging Markets

Over the last decade, emerging markets have been the fastest growing economies in the world, as they follow the blueprint established by more developed regions – this covers China, India, Africa and Latin America and frontier markets such as Vietnam. Given the strong demographic trends, fast improving education and hugely aspirational consumer base, there will be many opportunities across a broad range of sectors for decades to come. This theme captures increasing demand for energy and materials as cities are developed to support the migration from rural areas to urban spaces. It also aims to benefit from the aspirational wants and needs of the growing middle classes through the consumption of western goods and services.

  • Healthcare

As the growing global population ages, healthcare demand is rising, with existing infrastructure systems and providers being put under increasing pressure. Through this theme we look to invest into business that support people living longer and healthier lives, as well those that offer efficiencies that can help relieve the burden on healthcare systems and government budgets. To gain diverse exposure, we invest in a range of companies – from pharmaceutical and diagnostics businesses that focus on research and development to manufacturers of medical devices and surgical tools that enable production processes and healthcare delivery.

  • Technology & Innovation

Perhaps the most wide-reaching mandate of all, the technology and innovation theme is dynamic and ever evolving. The theme includes traditional technology such as computing systems and applications, which increase connectivity and communication among people and devices, facilitating the exchange of information and ideas globally. It also includes emerging technologies - from artificial intelligence and machine learning to robotics - which have the potential to increase productivity and efficiency across a broader range of sectors such as healthcare, education, and entertainment.

  • Environmental Solutions

The world faces a structural challenge, which, without doubt, will create opportunities. Not only has our population grown, but we have also changed the way we live – moving from the countryside to urban areas, increasing our emissions and our overall consumption. This has placed pressure on already limited resources like energy, water and food. This theme aims to benefit from changes over the coming decades as we shift to more sustainable solutions to how we live; moving towards cleaner, renewable energy sources and more efficient processes.
